5 mature ash trees dotted along a short section of the south side of Moorend, Beeley, have Stage 3 and 4 ash dieback and are a risk to the highway and/or residents. The trees are marked red for identification. There are a couple of dead elm stems as well to fell. I note that this area is quite wooded along Beeley Brook and the loss of these trees will not significantly impact the character and appearance of this area. We propose felling these trees and allow for natural regeneration of the stumps. See attached the tree reports for more information.
