Description

Undertake woodland management works as set out in Section 6 of the attached report. Including : - Removing young and semi mature ash infected with ash dieback. trees to removed annually in phases over 7 years. (Compartment 1) - Thin beech and sycamore regeneration by 10% per year for 5 years then review. (Compartment 2) - Remove ash regeneration where completing with other desirable species but retain healthy specimens (whole woodland) - Remove saplings within 1m of walls to prevent future damage (Compartments 1, 3 and 4) - Clear Branches from walls crown lift to give up to 1m clearance to wall (Compartments 1, 3 and 4) - Young & semi -mature trees - Selectively remove declining ash & thin sycamore to retain best specimens ( compartment 4) - Prune foliage from informal paths to a distance of 1m and to a height of 3m ( Whole woodland) - Prune foliage to maintain small area for off road parking and access (Compartment 1) In addition - Undertake works to manage retrenchment of mature ash dependant on their response to ash dieback (subject to further application) - Longer term aim is to coppice Hazel - subject to future application after 5 year review (Compartment 4)
