The tree is a Sycamore located within 6 meters of the cottage and neighbouring buildings, with the canopy overhanging the property. The roots are embedded in a brook side retaining stone wall and are undermining the wall. The tree has recently shown worrying signs of damage a large crack has appeared in the bark for the full height of the trunk. The heart of the canopy has a lot of dead branches which are continually falling. We believe that this tree is a danger to the properties and needs to be felled.
