Removal of 2 trees in rear garden at Bridge House, Alport, Nr. Bakewell. T1, mature Picea abies. T2, mature Chamaecyparis spp. The trees are positioned on top of the retaining boundary wall adjacent to Cliff Lane. The trees have outgrown their situation and considered vulnerable to wind throw due to surrounding woodland being clear felled due to ADB. The trees are now causing significant damage to the retaining garden wall due to their size and positioning, with several bulges evident caused by root mass and / or an increase in movement in windy weather. Suggest dismantle to ground level and no restock. The replanting of woodland opposite in 2023 with a diverse mixture of native broadleaves, will maintain the amenity value within the Alport conservation area, without need to replant within the garden.
