The Tree in question is a mature beach tree (double trunk). Last week one half snapped off and landed across the road, causing no injurys but the road was shut until highways agencys cleared it through the night. Upon inspection of the remaining half it seems to have some form of disease between the cavaties, this has also caused considerable rotting in the base and when it snapped out has ripped down through to the roots. This mature tree is approx 80ft tall and subsequently losing over 50% the other day has left this tree unbalanced. In my opinion as a tree surgeon for 25 years the remaining tree needs to be removed. If it was to fall down it would pose a significant danger to life. - Mature beach tree (largest in property) - Removal of the reamining tree
